Little China Girl is the twentieth chapter in Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive. In it, you take the role of Mia Yung as she reunits with Sam, John, and Sanchez after Doc and Kate had been captured.
Overview[]
This level is a tutorial level for learning how to control Mia Yung. You will learn how to use a flute, blowpipe, berrals, peanuts, firecreacker, and the monkey, Mr. Leone.
Cinematic[]
Making his way to the top of the cabin, Cooper witness the meeting between Carlos and the rest of the bandit leaders. El Diablos's representative asked him where his payment was. Just as stated before, he told them that he had been robbed and asked to speak with El Diablo himself. The representative humored the idea, by telling him that El Diablo, a.k.a. the devil, was already waiting for him in hell. As he said those words, the representative stabbed Carlos with a poisoned knife, killing him instantly as punishment for being unable to pay the tribute to El Diablo. The representative told the others to get Carlos' body out of there and to return to Grants. Story[]
Following their ordeal at Silver Creek, John, Sam, and Sanchez make their way back to Grants. On their way, they stop by an Abandoned Mine. Their conversation would be interrupted by Mia who tells that that Doc and Kate had been overpowered and that she was the only one who managed to escape. The other three didn’t know what to make of it, but her chance to prove herself came when she heard horses out in the distance. She ordered the three to hid in the mine and wait for her signal to come out.
Going behind the corner of the abandoned building, Mia witnessed three armed gunmen appear on horseback and dismount nearby. Using her pipe, she lured one of the bandits to her and using her blowpipe, she shot him straight into his eyes. Due to the poison, the armed gunmen went crazy. He shot his other two companies and began shooting at random before eventually falling unconscious.
Hearing the shot from the mine, Sanchez immediately rushed out to sea what was happening. Mia reassured him that everything was alright and told him to return back to the mine and wait for her signal. Hearing the horses on their way, Mia threw some peanuts on the ground and hid in a barrel behind the building. The other three gunman arrived and after waking up the one Mia took out; they investigated the area to see what was going on. In the meantime, Mia sent of her trusty pet, Mr. Leone to distract them with the peanuts she threw earlier. The four armed gunmen went to interstage and found it amusing. After getting tired of it, they started to shoot and the monkey ran back to its owner.
Seeing them now in a group, Mia decided to use a firecracker. Getting close enough to them, Mia threw a firecracker which blinded the lot of them. Thinking this was the signal, Sanchez rushes out and see that he is surrounded by enemies. Acting on instinct, Sanchez grabbed his gun and span around, knocking all the armed gunmen out. Sanchez asked Mia if that was the signal. She said no, but she is glad it worked anyway.
John and Samuel joined the two soon afterwards; Sanchez told them that this was all Mia’s doing. Impressed by her work, John invited Mia to go back with them to Grants. Mia agree and she desperately wanted to avenge her father’s death. John then told her to ride with them to free Doc and Kate.

- Entice the enemy to you with the tune on your pipe. Then pit him out of action with the blowpipe.
- Place a few peanuts in front of the entrance to the mine.

- Mia can be knocked out by Sanchez if she gets to close to the group.
- Sanchez can also be killed if all four armed gunman are not blinded.
- This mission can seen as secretly teaching you how to combine Mia's firecracker and Sanchez's spin attack.
