Doc McCoy's Cabin is the fifth chapter in Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive. In it, you take the role of Doc as he gathers his equipment and shows his abilities to Samuel Williams.
Overview[]
This level is a tutorial level for learning how to control Doc McCoy. You will learn how to snipe enemies from a distance, use gas, heal, and body double.
Story[]
Following their escape from Jennings, John, Sam, and Doc rode to Doc's Cabin in the Swamp. The trio went there to recover Doc's supplied. Arriving at the door, Doc releases that he left his key on his wagon. With no way to open, Doc used his lockpicking tricks to open his door.
Once he recovered his stuff, Doc rejoined the others. Slightly annoyed, Sam sent a pessimistic remark about Doc's credibility. Sensing a challenge, Doc dared Sam to sink a tied boat found across the river. Sam resigned as he though the task was impossible; Doc, on the other hand, took on the challenge. Using his specially made bullets, Doc shot the rope holding the boat afloat, sending it to the bottom.
Sam was quite impressed by this and asked him what else he got. Doc replied with gas; a powerful knockout chemical. To show him how it worked, Doc threw a vial at an alligator nearby. Sam's jealousy was showing and told Doc as he could throw his stick of dynamite further than Vial. To shut him up, Doc showed him a balloon made with animal skin and bet him that he could take out an alligator sitting on the other side. Sam, wanted to see and so he encouraged Doc to show him. Using another kind of Gas, Doc lifted a vial of gas on a balloon. Once it was on the target, he shoots it; immediately hitting the alligator.
Sarcastically, Sam remarked with excellence and to see how great the gas was. Sam walked directly towards the alligator knocked out earlier; despite Doc's objection. Sam went in close and all of a sudden, the alligator bit him. Doc sarcastically responded that the gas only works on humans and that animals have no effect. Under John's request, Doc went off to investigate and heal Sam's wound.
The three of them seem ready now until Sam asked why Doc wore a heavy coat in the current heat. Doc says to double up; and with a quick adjustment, his coat stood still upfront by itself.
Now that Doc's worth was proven, the three rode off to Baton Rouge to find Kate O'Hara.

Objectives[]
- Help Doc break down the door to his cabin!
- Use the precision bullets to sink the boat on the other side of the river!
- Throw a gas tube at the alligator to the south and put it out of action!
- Tie a gas tube to a balloon, sent it over the alligator on the rock in the middle of the swamp and shoot it down. That way you will put the alligator out of action!
- Bandage Sam's wound!
- Put up a scarecrow and then take it back down!
Notes[]
- If you place the coat on the dock strip, Doc will lift back the boat he sunk and Cooper will tell him, "May the force be with you, young McCoy!" This is a reference to Star Wars.
