Doc McCoy is a former English doctor, mercenary, and a member of the Cooper gang. He appears in every episodes of the series along with Cooper and Kate.
Personality[]
McCoy spent his younger years studying medicine in England. When he finished his studies, he was looking for an adventure which made him sail to the new world. He crossed the Atlantic and set foot on the American shore. There, he was forcibly recruited to fight in the American Civil War. He fought and worked as a doctor alike but could not stand the horror and the futility of the war, so he deserted after a year of service and became a gun for hire. Soon he became known in certain circles as someone who gets the job done and doesn't ask too many questions. He neither answers irrelevant questions about himself.
Even Cooper only knows McCoy as “Doc”; he has never known his first name. Doc's experience of war has turned him into a cynical disillusioned man. The long scar on his face lends him a grimly threatening appearance to the people which is accentuated by his preference for black clothing.

Doc's standard weapon is a Buntline capable of six rounds of shots.
He can screw telescopic sight onto the barrel of his Buntline and use it as a sniper rifle with his special precision bullets.

he can tie a gas tube to a balloon, let the wind carry it and then shoot it over them dropping the gas.
He uses his overcoat and hat to make a scarecrow and deceive enemies.
